ASTM A312 TP317L is a low-carbon, molybdenum-alloyed austenitic stainless steel seamless pipe designed for high-temperature and general corrosive service. It is typically selected when 316L is not sufficient for chloride-bearing or acidic environments, thanks to its higher Mo and Ni content and improved pitting/crevice corrosion resistance.

Yes. We provide full inspection documentation (heat/lot traceability, chemistry, and mechanical results). ASTM A312 references mandatory mechanical testing and compliance requirements, and the standard requires documented testing/verification.
2) “How do you ensure leak-tightness and defect control?”
Every pipe is supplied with hydrostatic or nondestructive electric testing per ASTM A312/A999 practices, minimizing the risk of through-wall defects before shipment.
3) “Will it actually resist my chloride/acid media better than 316L?”
TP317L is specifically positioned for more aggressive corrosion conditions. Reputable alloy references highlight superior chloride pitting/general corrosion resistance compared with 304/316 families due to higher alloying levels.
