Sulfinert-treated stainless steel tubing for chromatography applications
Sulfinert-treated straight stainless steel tubing is designed for chromatography flow paths where active compounds must be transferred without adsorption, memory effect, or metallic surface interaction. In current technical usage, Sulfinert is closely associated with SilcoTek's inert amorphous-silicon CVD coating family, also marketed as SilcoNert 2000, while Restek continues to use the Sulfinert name for treated chromatography components. The base tubing is typically seamless or welded/drawn 304 or 316L stainless steel, with 316L preferred for higher corrosion resistance and cleaner analytical flow paths.
