1)Diameter and Wall Thickness (Cold Finished)-
Variations in outside diameter and wall thickness shall notexceed the amounts prescribed in Table 5.
2)Diameter and Wall Thickness (Hot Finished)
Variations in outside diameter and wall thickness shall notexceed the amounts prescribed in Table 6.
3)Lengths (Cold Finished or Hot Finished) Mechanicaltubing is commonly furnished in mill lengths 5 ft [1.5 m] andover. When random lengths are ordered, tube lengths may varyby an amount up to 7 ft [2.1 m]. Definite cut lengths arefurnished, when specified, to the length tolerances shown inTable 5 or Table 6. For tubing ordered in multiple lengths, it iscommon practice to allow a definite amount over for eachmultiple for the purchaser s cutting operations. This amountdepends on the type of purchaser s cutting and varies withdiffering wall thickness. The cutting allowance should bespecified on the purchase order.
4)Straightness Tolerances (Cold Finished or HotFinished) The deviation from straightness shall not exceedthe amounts shown in Table 7 when measured with a 3-ft [1-m]straightedge and feeler gage. If determined by the dial indicatormethod, the values obtained will be approximately twice thosedetermined by the straightedge feeler gage method.

Hardness:
For the tubes which W.T. ≥2 mm, Rockwell hardness tests should be taken.
Tests of the seamless boiler tubes:
1.Bending Test:
The tubes should take the bending test when OD ≤22mm. The bending angle is 90 degrees, and the bending radius is 6 times the outer diameter of the steel tube.
2. Hydraulic test;
Eddy current testing, ultrasonic testing can be used instead of hydraulic tests. When eddy current testing, GB/T 7735-1995 Gr. A should be followed; when ultrasonic testing, GB/T 5777-1996 Gr. C8 should be followed.
