We match grade selection to service condition rather than offering one grade for all duties. For welded condensers and exchangers, TP304L / TP316L reduce carbide precipitation risk through low carbon content. For prolonged elevated-temperature exposure, TP321 and TP347H provide stabilized chemistry; 347/347H is specifically recognized for strong resistance to intergranular corrosion after exposure to 427-816 °C, and 347H adds higher creep strength for hotter service.
Concern: How do you ensure dimensional control and inspection reliability on thin-wall seamless tubes?
For tighter dimensional demand, we recommend the cold-finished seamless route, which supports finer OD control than hot-finished tubing. Each tube can be supplied with hydrostatic test or nondestructive electric test, which is especially important for boiler, superheater, and exchanger circuits where leakage risk is unacceptable.
Concern: Which grade is better when the medium contains chlorides or when the duty temperature is high?
We separate the selection by failure mode. For chloride-bearing or mildly aggressive condensate, TP316L is preferred because its 2-3% molybdenum improves pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. For higher-temperature steam-side duty, TP321 and TP347H are better choices because stabilized chemistry and higher creep capability improve reliability under thermal exposure.

For this product type, polished seamless austenitic tubes are selected to improve cleanliness, reduce fouling retention, and maintain stable leak-tight performance under continuous temperature cycling. In chloride-sensitive or more corrosive condensate duty, TP316L is usually preferred; where steam-side temperature is higher, TP321 or TP347H may be specified.
