JIS G3314 SA1D 5 inch welded aluminized steel tubes
JIS G3314 SA1D 5 inch welded aluminized steel tubes are manufactured from hot-dip aluminum-coated steel strip and formed by ERW/HFW welding for automotive exhaust and heat-shielding tube applications. The 5 inch size equals 127.0 mm outside diameter, and the aluminum-silicon coated surface provides better oxidation resistance and heat reflection than ordinary uncoated carbon steel. In practice, the product is usually specified by JIS G3314 SA1D for the aluminized strip and ASTM A513 for ERW mechanical tubing, because JIS G3314 is a sheet and strip standard rather than a finished tube standard.

For 5 inch exhaust tubes, SA1D deep-drawing quality material is recommended when the part requires bending, flaring, or end forming.
Can the 5 inch tube keep stable OD and roundness after welding? The 127.0 mm tube is produced through ERW/HFW forming, welding, sizing, and straightening. OD, wall thickness, ovality, and straightness can be inspected against ASTM A513 or customer drawings before shipment.
How is weld seam reliability controlled for exhaust use? We control strip edge preparation, weld current, squeeze pressure, bead condition, and leak-related visual inspection. For parts requiring smoother inner diameter, DOM or special smooth ID processing can be selected.
