A concentric ASME B16.9 Reducer is cone shaped, which gradually decreases around the pipe. In instances where there is a possibility of accumulation of air, the reducer results in cavitation. Often, the ASME B16.9 Concentric reducer is a part of high strength building metal materials as well as vertical piping systems. Usually, Stainless Steel Concentric reducer exhibit superior resistance to pitting, stress related corrosion cracking and oxidation.
