Inconel 600 with high nickel content, is virtually immune to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking.
The alloy has superb corrosion resistance to caustic environments.
Inconel Alloy 600 also demonstrates resistance to dry chlorine up to 538°C.

It resists chloride-ion-incurred stress corrosion cracking, sulfur compounds and oxidizing conditions at high temperatures. The alloy demonstrates good performance in high temperature nitriding environments.
Applications: Chemical process industry, heat treating fixtures, air-frame components and nuclear reactors.
