What is the difference between 304 and 316 piping?

304 and 316 are two common grades of stainless steel used in piping systems. While both grades are part of the austenitic stainless steel family and have similar chemical compositions, they have some differences in terms of their properties and applications.

Chemical Composition:

• 304 stainless steel contains around 18% chromium and 8% nickel, with small amounts of carbon, manganese, and other elements.

Corrosion Resistance:
